This year your annual fund support will go a long way to help us protect one of our most valued assets – our century-old barn. We were recently awarded a generous grant from the Porter County Community Foundation to go toward replacing our deteriorating roof. The grant brings us a third of the way towards our goal, but we need your help to bridge the gap.
A new roof will allow us to continue to offer arts programs in a warm welcoming and safe environment for many years to come. Bring in the jingles and buy some shingles!

Who We Are
School, Gallery, Venue, Farm
The Art Barn has something for everyone. We offer year round classes and workshops for all ages, including open studio time. Each season brings new events, from the spring Juried Exhibition and Children’s Exhibit, to the autumn Art Blitz. Our main classroom and gallery comfortably seats 50 or more and is a perfect venue for small weddings and intimate parties.
The Art Barn School of Art was founded in the 1970’s by the much loved artist and teacher Janet Sullivan (1920-2016). Located on 69 acres of beautiful pastoral farmland in Jackson Township, the school is a century old renovated barn, and the farmhouse is artist residence. We are also home to chickens and other livestock, including our sweet mini horse, Bunny.
As we move into 2019, we continue to enrich our community with excellence in art education. Click here to stay up to date.
