Service Description
Bring your beginning colored pencil skills on an adventure with illustrator Christine Hubbell! Explore the next level of colored pencil through a deeper understanding of color mixing; visual texture; mixed media; and surfaces. You’ll need to have completed a beginning colored pencil class. Drawing skills are helpful, but you’ll have simple subjects to work with each week and lots of support. Drawing surfaces (paper, drafting film, etc.) will be supplied. Please review the supply list carefully for the supplies you’ll need Week 1. Some supplies can be purchased later or in class. Recommended supply list for students: - A mixed media sketchbook (5 x 7 or 9 x 12) such as Canson XL mixed media - A minimum set of artist grade colored pencils such as Prismacolor Premier or Faber Castell Polychromos (12 or 24) - A minimum set of artist grade Watercolor Pencils such as Prismacolor Premier Watercolor (12 or 24) - Graphite Pencils in a range of hardnesses grades. Bring at least F, HB, and 2B pencils. - Accessories (separately or in a kit such as the KALOUR colored pencil accessory kit): Erasers, preferably a white rubber eraser and a kneadable eraser A colorless blender pencil A colorless blender marker A burnishing pencil - A ball embossing stylus - Rapesco 64 or Deli manual desktop pencil sharpener (available on Amazon/Walmart)
