This curriculum was designed by physicians, nutritionists, and registered dieticians to translate scientific nutrition information into easy to prepare tasty meals, and each class features a nutrition lecture, discussion, cooking demonstration and a full meal of plant-based food! The Art of Plantifying Your Life…
In Unity we say “Everything we do is a prayer.” Similarly, one could say, “Everything we cook and eat is art.” Or it could be. The dictionary definition of art: “the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.” Food has the potential to be the highest form of human creative skill, because we then take what we create– and ingest it! We look at a painting, or we hear and enjoy music, but with the art of food, we actually make it part of our metabolism! We use it, literally, to live. And the emotion, care, love, and time we put into its preparation gives those who partake of it the most intimate and spiritual of artistic experiences, imbued with our very own essence.
