Sharon Angelina – Comprehensive Art for 10 years and older,

Camps, Arty Parties

Sharon began at the Art Barn in 1998 as an art model and assistant to founder Jan Sullivan, helping host parties and workshops.

In 2014 she began teaching the older children’s art classes and annual summer camps. After many volunteer hours of cleaning and organizing storage spaces, she learned the great cultural resource the Art Barn offers our community.

In autumn of 2016 Sharon became a resident at the Art Barn and joined the Board of Directors. Along with instructing, she is currently office manager and festival co-coordinator for the Art Blitz.

“Jan has been a role model for me through the years. I’ve always found great self expression and recognition through my art, but resisted thinking of myself as an artist through most of my youth. Jan changed that for me. The Art Barn has changed that for me. I embrace art now, and living here inspires me daily.”

LaDonna Trapp – Saturday All Media ages 5-9

LaDonna Trapp has been teaching the Children’s All Media Saturday morning classes since 2015.  LaDonna loves teaching art to young children. Her full time job is helping families at the Family & Youth Services Bureau. She is a member of the Board of Directors at the Indiana Association of Mediators, and has worked and studied at Valparaiso University.

Alice Dickey – Homeschool Mondays

Alice is an artist and designer with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from PNC. She has worked extensively in local community theater teaching and directing children in acting, music, and expression. Alice enjoys working with children helping them “open their minds to the limitless possibilities of personal expression through art.” Alice lives with her husband and three children in Michigan City, Indiana.
