Upcycled Holiday Family Workshop

Service Description

Art Barn instructor and Master Recycler Sharon Angelina will help you turn your trash into treasures in this fun-for-the-family workshop. Using materials including discarded holiday cards, ribbon, scrap paper, and small boxes and containers that would otherwise end up in a landfill, participants will create beautiful holiday ornaments, centerpieces, or other decorations. Cookies and cocoa will be served, and staff from Recycling & Waste Reduction District of Porter County will be on site to talk about other ways you can reduce, reuse, and recycle in your home and community. This workshop is suitable for adults and children ages 6+ with a parent. All materials and supplies will be provided, but if you would like to donate any of our "wish list" items below, they can be dropped off at Art Barn: Art Barn School of Art 695 N 400 E, Valparaiso, IN 46360 219-462-9009 | info@artbarnschool.org Tue, Wed, Thur. 10 am – 4 pm Central Time --Donation Wishlist-- All materials should be clean/dry/usable. - cardboard items/packaging (egg cartons, small boxes - less than 6”, inserts, textured pieces) - scrapbook paper/origami paper - magazines/calendars - used holiday cards (with any address/info removed) - food cans or tubes such as pringles/oatmeal - plastic jars and bottles - yarn - ribbon

Cancellation Policy

Refunds are issued, minus a $25 fee, through the first class. No refunds are permitted after that time. There are no refunds on workshops.
