Service Description

If you’re ready to see your book in print, print-on-demand, often called self-publishing or indie, may be a good option. Low cost print-on-demand services are perfect for personal distribution like family histories or books of all types for public sale. But where to start? In this two-part workshop, instructor Joyce Hicks, author of three successful indie books, will help you get familiar with the process. Session one will cover the language and processes of print-on-demand from ISBNs to publication options like Amazon and IngramSpark, and distribution. Session two will present tips on preparing your manuscript with do-it-yourself programs like Vellum, or free offerings from Amazon and IngramSpark, or paid services. Bring a laptop or ipad to view links and tools on the spot. Students will learn how to set up author accounts to begin your book’s journey to publication.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds are issued, minus a $25 fee, through the first class. No refunds are permitted after that time. There are no refunds on workshops.
