Service Description

Deepen your connection to nature through journaling with illustrator Christine Hubbell. Enjoy the fall landscape at the art Barn and learn to capture animals, plants, and landscapes using a variety of sketching tools to capture the beauty of your surroundings with quick, relaxed techniques. Christine Hubbell is an Indiana artist whose work explores the beauty and diversity of native plants and birds. She holds a certificate in botanical and scientific illustration from the Denver Botanic Gardens. Some supplies will be provided. Students should be prepared for a day outdoors. Suggested supplies/gear: - Mixed media sketchbook 5x9" or larger (Canson and Strathmore brands are good and easy to find) - Drawing pencil - Eraser - Pencil sharpener - Backpack or bag for carrying supplies - Water and a light snack - Sunscreen and insect repellent - Sturdy/closed toe shoes - Hat or sunshade - Portable seat/chair See this post on Christine's website for info on packing light when field sketching: https://chubbellart.com/2021/05/19/nature-sketching-color-your-world/

Cancellation Policy

Refunds are issued, minus a $25 fee, through the first class. No refunds are permitted after that time. There are no refunds on workshops.
