Service Description

Students will receive an introduction to a variety of hand-building techniques, including pinch pots, coil, and slab construction. We will also spend time exploring surface decoration with underglazes, stamps and carving. This class is appropriate for beginning and intermediate ceramicists. Students with experience may also choose to use incorporate wheel-thrown elements in their work. Class size is limited to 7 students. Repeat ceramics students enrolled in Hand Building for the Winter/Spring session will receive a 50% discount if they wish to enroll in Open Studio concurrently (space is limited).
