Lee resides and does studio work in Winamac, Indiana, where she runs Tortuga Inn bed and breakfast.  She states, “My life has taken several paths. But always I have been an artist. My art is about life. It represents my viewpoint of nature, food, and social commentaries. Upfront I have a seemingly bubbly personality but under as most there is the dark side… I incorporate the light and dark sides of life in my work. Humor and contemplation…  I love the fluidity of the medium, similiar to life flowing from one aspect to another not in total control…creating a sense of insanity, freedom and succession.”  Lee attended Indiana University and Ancilla College majoring in fine art, art education and communication. and exhibits in juried, curated and gallery exhibitions throughout the United States and Mexico. She is currently exhibiting her work at Top Hat Gallery in St. Croix.

I can appreciate most art – but I like the ‘from the gut’ work – there is an authenticity of intent and emotion I really connect with…and a sense of thumbing one’s nose at tradition in the vein of personal expression…I find this irresistible…” Jennifer Wagner, Gallery 26, Easton, Maryland

She’s a very talented watercolorist who really knows her medium…She is brave in what she does and she’s very honest in what she says in her art, which is refreshing. ” Greg Hertzlieb, Director/Curator, Brauer Museum of Art, Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana
