ARTASTIC SATURDAYS

Children will learn basic skills using a variety of media with instructor Alice Dickey. This class focuses on seeing and finding joy in artistic expression. Famous artists and their styles are introduced and explored. Techniques will include drawing, painting, mixed-media collage and more. Children learn to discover and accept their own style while staying curious and learning new forms of media. All supplies included. Ages 5-9

COMPREHENSIVE ART

Thursdays, 6-8pm

This class with instructor Sharon Angelina advances older children into more mature drawing techniques such as perspective, portraiture, and expanded media. Art History is discussed along with the five elements of art. A dialogue between good technique and authentic self expression is encouraged. All supplies included. Ages 10+

SUMMER CAMPS

ELEMENTS

Weekdays, 9am-2pm

June 15-19

$149/1 week

With instructor Sharon Angelina, students learn how to use the five elements of nature: earth, water, fire, air and space to create art projects. Students will learn to use natural elements found on our 69 acres of property while they create unique works of art to bring home. Please bring a packed lunch. Ages 5-10

WILD CRAFTING

Weekdays, 9am-2pm
Session1: June 22-26
Session 2: July 27-31
$149/1 week

“Wildcrafting” involves gathering materials from the land that you will use for various purposes. Instructor Sharon Angelina teaches her students about the local plants and materials found on our 69 acres and how to create beautiful and useful items from the land. Students spend time outdoors making art together in this camp. Please bring a packed lunch. Ages 11-16

ART FOR ALL

Weekdays, 9am-noon

June 29-July 3

Instructor Melina Stock brings her art therapy experience to this camp specifically designed for children with special needs. Students will use various art materials to express themselves in a fun and accepting environment. Students of all ages and abilities encouraged to sign up for this camp. Ages 5-18

DRAGONS AND UNICORNS

Weekdays, 9am-2pm
July 6-10
$149/1 week

Alice Dickey teaches students to explore the fun and fantasy of creating various art projects around this exciting theme. Students will create their own world filled with these extraordinary mythical creatures and even build their own castle! They will learn useful skills and techniques while expanding their imagination. Art show and ice cream party held on the last day of camp. Please bring a packed lunch. Ages 5-10

ARCHITECTURE CAMP

Weekdays 9am-12:30pm
July 13-17
$135/1 week

Students will have fun designing and building their own dream suite. Experienced teacher Mindy Milan has developed a condensed version of her architecture course for this summer camp. Students will learn basic architecture skills including drafting, section drawing and model construction techniques. Great class for the experimenter, lego-lover and future engineer/architect/designer. Ages 12-17

KIDS CLAY CAMP

Weekdays, 9am-noon
July 13-24

Ages 5-9
$229/2 weeks

During this two-week camp, Samantha Purze teaches children how to build a coil pot with or without a lid, pinch pot planters, and their own ceramic tiles with unique surface decorations. At the end of the workshop each child will go home with at least 3 ceramic works which they made themselves from start to finish. Students will learn new skills in an environment where their creativity is encouraged, and make new friends along the way. Ages 5-9

TEENS CLAY CAMP

Weekdays, 1pm-4pm
July 13-24

Ages 10-16
$229/2 weeks

During this two-week camp, Samantha Purze teaches teens how to build a coil pot with or without handles and a lid, pinch pot planters, and a slab constructed container with unique surface decorations. At the end of the workshop each child will go home with at least 3 ceramic works which they made themselves from start to finish. Students will learn new skills in an environment where their creativity is encouraged, and make new friends along the way. Please bring a packed lunch. Ages 10-16

 

FAMILY WORKSHOPS

UPCYCLED WORKSHOP

Saturday Date TBD, 1-4pm
$35/child, 1 attending adult free

Holy mother of invention! Imaginations of any age have free reign at this creative recycle/reuse workshop. Participants can tinker and build using a wide variety of recyclables to create an upcycled robot, craft a futuristic bird feeder, or freestyle some abstract art. Instructor Sharon Angelina will facilitate the creative chaos. All materials provided. Ages 5+
