Monday Night Watercolor – Beginner and Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner – May 6-Jun 10

Instructor Julia Holmaas teaches 2 sequential 5-session classes designed for the total beginner, and those with some watercolor experience. The introductory Beginner class familiarizes students with a double primary palette, using the watercolor brush and creating watercolor washes, warm and cool color combinations and emotions, designing compositions, and various techniques for creating texture. Students will create an original painting each week. – $100/5 weeks 

The immediate follow up Advanced Beginner series provides ample opportunity to further explore watercolor methods depending on the student’s need and interests. Each week students will paint from a photograph or still life to create an original painting. – $100/5 weeks

Monday Adult Beginner Ceramics

April 1 – May 6, 2019

Instructor Gail Woolever, a potter for over 45 years, will teach both on and off the potter’s wheel to create useful and enjoyable objects. This class is appropriate for the beginning novice or the experienced potter.  All levels of skill will be encouraged to new heights of success.  – $179/6 weeks

Drawing for Scaredy Cats

Instructor Sharon Angelina teaches this 5 week class to both absolute beginners, and those wishing to advance their blossoming skills or take a more disciplined approach. Learn useful techniques, new ways of seeing, exercises to connect hand and eye, and further artistic confidence. Each class progressively builds on the last. For students mid teen to adult. $100/5 weeks

Wednesday Night Life Drawing

Instructor and facilitator Gail Woolever offers assistance to any student needing guidance, or students may come and draw independently. Currently offered on the first Wednesday of the month, a live professional nude model is rotated between male and female each month. Poses are timed and include one long pose.

Basic supplies are included and there are some floor and table top easels available to borrow.

 A friendly critique is included at the end. For students 18 and older. $18/class

Thursday Morning All Media, All Levels

Instructor Suzie Rosso guides and advances students in style and technique with her gentle approach.  Many ages and levels enjoy this unique ‘open studio’ style instruction, and find the ability to advance at their own pace in their chosen media. Students should bring their own supplies, and may bring art they are working on at home. $80/month or $20/class ongoing
